The Eaton Fire left one woman on a mission to return a family keepsake to its rightful owner.
“We could see the flames from our house, so on Tuesday night we got the notice to evacuate and we did,” Heuton tells PEOPLE. “We left not knowing if it was all going to burn to the ground, and you can’t even emotionally think into it.

A bride-to-be is taking issue with having to invite someone she doesn’t see eye to eye with to her bachelorette party.

A man was arrested after the body of a staffer for the Indian National Congress was found stuffed in a suitcase on a highway over the weekend.

An Oregon man has been accused of manslaughter after police discovered his partner’s body in a car on the side of a rural road.
Police arrested 38-year-old Jose Lucas Morfin, Jr., her partner, at the scene. He was indicted on Dec. 20 on charges of manslaughter, assault, and abuse of a corpse, as well as weapons raps. Morfin has pleaded not guilty to all charges, per theStatesman Journal.
