Two women were fatally stabbed in their U.K. apartment on Christmas Day and now a 49-year-old man is charged with double murder in connection with their deaths as well as the non-fatal stabbings of two other people.
Just after 6:30 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 25, Thames Valley Police were called about a report of a stabbing at an apartment on Santa Cruz Avenue in Bletchley, Milton Keynes,the department said in a statement.

Police are investigating after a 2-year-old boy died from a health emergency at a preschool in England.
On Tuesday, Jan. 14, the toddler “suffered a fatal medical episode” at the Early Learners Day Nursery in the Liverpool suburb of Bootle, Merseyside police confirmed in astatementon Wednesday, Jan. 15.
The incident was reported around 12:35 p.m. local time on Tuesday, authorities said.

A North Carolina father is facing criminal charges after authorities allege he left his child isolated in a room with a space heater for more than 12 hours, leading to his death.
Aaron Lynwood Carter, 27, is charged with one count of felony involuntary manslaughter and one count of felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury in connection with 2-year-old River Carter’s death, according to astatementfrom the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Joseph Lopinto told theoutletthat a 13-year-old girl called police, alleging that “her father shot her mother and also the siblings inside the residence.”
“Our deputies arrived on scene and found a 40-year-old female along with a two-year-old child deceased in the hallway,” Lopinto continued to FOX 8 New Orleans, adding that two other children, a 9-year-old and the girl who called the police, were also found “both shot and wounded.
