At least two people have been reportedly killed after a small airplane crashed into a busy street in São Paulo, Brazil.
The aircraft, which was heading to the city of Porto Alegre, collided with a bus in Brazil’s most populous around 7:20 a.m. local time on Friday, Feb. 7, according toSky News,CNNandNewsweek.

The identities of the deceased individuals are not currently known.
According to Sky News, the plane that crashed on Marques de Sao Vicente Avenue in Barra Funda was a twin-engine Beech F90 King Air.
The control tower reportedly lost contact with the plane just minutes after it took off from Campo de Marte Airport, per Sky News.

Military Police Lieutenant Jefferson de Souza stated that five victims were rescued at a bus stop following a plane crash in west São Paulo’s Barra Funda,CNN Brazilsaid in a translated post that contained video of the deadly incident.

Clouds of smoke could be seen coming from flames as crowds of onlookers frantically gathered around.
The cause of the crash is not immediately known, and is under investigation.
