2 Men Detained Near Vice President Kamala Harris' Home During Brentwood's Curfew Hours

According to reports fromKTLA,KCALandKNBC, the arrests were made during curfew hours on Saturday, Jan. 11.

Citing the Los Angeles Police Department, KTLA reported that the men were arrested after a report of a potential burglary, though police said they later found no evidence of a crime.

A law enforcement source told KNBC that the men were not on Harris' property when they were taken into custody and “they likely had no idea where they were.”

In a Jan. 8 post on X, a spokesperson for the vice president said that the area of the home was put under evacuation order.

“No one was in her home at the time,” the spokesperson said.

The fire’s death toll climbed to 24 as of Monday, Jan. 13, following an update from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. The sheriff’s office also said that at least 16 people were missing.
