Jasmine is yearning for sex and independence in her marriage, but feels Gino is holding her back from living her best life.

On the Dec. 9 episode of90 Day: The Last Resort, the six couples tackled Compromise Canyon, where they were tasked with carrying rocks that symbolize weight they are carrying in their relationship.

As part of the exercise, each person wrote a word on a rock that represents something they want to compromise on in their relationship. Jasmine selected “independence.”

“I feel unappreciated, I feel unvalued and unhappy,” Jasmine told Gino in the middle of the Arizona wilderness. “And to make it better, I need to feel that you support me as my partner.”

Gino pushed back, claiming he supported Jasmine both financially and emotionally. “That is total support,” he continued, “so don’t say that I don’t support you.”

“Now that I got my Green Card, reality has hit me and I still don’t have any sort of independence,” Jasmine said. “I’m still in the same s— situation.”

Jasmine was particularly eager to get her driver’s license, which she believed would enable her to achieve the independence she sought.

“To feel like I’ve regained my independence, I need you to get me a car,” Jasmine told Gino. “I cannot live like this.”

In a previous confessional, she said it didn’t matter if the car was “crappy” or “used,” as long as she had her own form of transportation.

“I want to feel free again,” Jasmine told Gino. “I want to be with you, having the freedom to still be myself.”

According to Gino, however, he can’t afford a vehicle for his wife. Jasmine expressed her disappointment to Gino, who replied, “You don’t appreciate anything anyway.”

Gino refused to compromise with Jasmine, who called Gino a “scammer” for bringing her to the United States only to strip her of her independence.

“I don’t feel like we’re going anywhere,” Gino said in a confessional. “Therapy sessions have not helped us yet, and I’m really worried about our relationship right now. It’s rapidly going down the drain.”

The next morning, at the hotel, Jasmine told Gino their intimacy is “going down the drain,” as well.

“Right now, we have a sexless marriage. And that’s pretty awful,” Jasmine said. Gino agreed, noting how “strange” it was that it had been quite some time since they were last affectionate with each other.

Jasmine said she stopped showing Gino affection “because of the rejection” she felt from her husband.

“I am scared of taking the initiative because every time I was approaching, like getting close to kissing you, you will do this. You will push me away,” she explained.

Gino replied, “I have to be in the right mood.” But Jasmine argued, “You are never in the right mood.”

“Well, what does that tell you?” Gino retorted. He later added, “We can’t go from not sleeping with each other to having sex. It has to be slowly getting to that point.”

In another confessional, Jasmine lamented her lack of intimacy with Gino. “It makes me feel like I have to beg for attention, I have to beg for love,” she said. “Why? Why did you marry me?”

Gino was fed up. “Maybe we shouldn’t even be staying in the same room," he suggested.

Jasmine had enough. “I cannot deal with this anymore,” she said before storming off. “Because you are a person that constantly insults me. You never make me feel special and I’m tired.”

Outside, Jasmine called up a man named Matt, who she claimed is one of her best friends in Michigan. Matt helped calm her down, telling Jasmine not to let Gino “trigger” her.

Jasmine claimed she and Matt began working out and spending time together after meeting at a local gym. But Gino has no clue about him whatsoever.

“I know he’s going to think that it’s more than a friendship, and I know that it’s not,” Jasmine stated. “I’ve never done anything with him. Nothing.”

She added, “But at the same time, he’s a person that in a short period of time has shown me that he cares about me and he wants me to be happy. And that’s how I ended up being his friend.”

Matt seemed to want Jasmine and Gino’s relationship to work, too. “I think you guys should do some therapies together,” he said over the phone. “I think you should try to work these things out with him. You have love for each other.”

But he concluded, “Gino doesn’t realize that there is literally probably hundreds of thousands of men that would jump in three seconds to be with you.”
