Alex Newellis inviting theater fans to “join us” at thePippin 50th Anniversary Concert.

The evening was captured in April 2024 at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and will stream onBroadwayHDbeginning Thursday, March 13.

PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the concert — specifically, Newell singing “Magic to Do,” the musical’s opening number.

The musical features iconic songs like “Corner of the Sky,” “No Time at All” and “Morning Glow” — all of which have become showtune staples in the decades since their premiere.

Its original production was nominated for 11 Tony Awards in 1973, including best musical. Among its five trophies were two for director and choreographerBob Fosse.

ThePippin 50th Anniversary Concertperformed to sold-out audiences, and earned rave reviews after its debut.

In addition to Newell, the production stars Jac Yarrow (as Pippin), Olivier Award winner Patricia Hodge (as Berthe) and Lucie Jones (as Catherine), plus Olivier Award nominees Cedric Neal (as Charlemagne) and Zizi Strallen (as Fastrada).

“Those lucky enough to see thePippin 50th Anniversary Concertlive in London are in an exclusive group,” said its co-founders, Bonnie Comley and Stewart F. Lane, in a statement.

They continued, “And it is a perfect example of WHY we created BroadwayHD in the first place — to provide wider access for audiences to experience these once-in-a-lifetime musical events they may otherwise have never been able to see.”
