“I was having a meeting with [series creator] Dan Harmon, and we were talking about theCommunitymovie and I wanted to rewatch some classic Annie episodes, so I did, and they were great,” she says, referring to her character Annie Edison, one of the students at the fictional community college where the show is set.

While Brie is preparing to return to the Greendale Community Collegecampus, she is also busy promotingTogether, which costars her husband,Dave Franco. (The pair also served as co-producers.)

The actress told PEOPLE at Sundance that the couple’s “style of working” on projects like this is to completely immerse themselves while on set — but then switch completely into off mode once they are done.

“We allow it to be all-encompassing and then when we get home [after the movie wraps], we can chill out,” Brie explains. But when the work day ends amid production, she jokes, “we just lay in bed like vampires and sleep.”
