Arnold Schwarzenegger’s sonPatrick Schwarzeneggeris carving out his own path in Hollywood.

The White Lotusseason 3 star is Arnold’s eldest son, whom he shares with hisex-wife Maria Shriver. Growing up visiting his action star dad on sets, Patrick “always” knew he wanted to act.

“Going to set with my dad, that’s where myfirst love for acting came from,” Patrick told PEOPLE in February 2025. “He would always pull me out of school early. I would get to go to Universal Studios — I’d watch him go in as Dad, come out as Mr. Freeze. I would sit there all day and just be fascinated with everything about film.”

Now that he’s launched a career of his own, Patrick’s mom and dad have stepped intosupporting roles. “He’s really proud of me and they’re so supportive,” Patrick said of his parents on theTodayshow in 2020. “I couldn’t ask for a better parent duo."

Shriver and Arnold showed that proud support for their son at theLos Angeles premiere ofThe White Lotusin 2025. “I was so pumped to take a break from filming to celebrate @patrickschwarzenegger at the White Lotus Season 3 premiere,”TheTerminatoractor later wrote on hisInstagram. “What a show! I could claim to be surprised to find out he has a nude scene, but what can I say -the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

Patrick was born on Sept. 18, 1993, in Los Angeles. The actor is Arnold and Shriver’s third child and oldest son.

ThePredatorstar sharesthree other children— Katherine, Christina and Christopher — with his ex-wife, and one son,Joseph Baena, with his former housekeeper, Mildred Baena.

He graduated from the University of Southern California

After finishing high school, Patrick told his father of his plans to skip college and start acting — which Arnold did not take well.

“My dad was like, ‘No, you’re not. You’re going to school, and you can study acting, but you can also get a degree in business,’ " he told PEOPLE in February 2025.

Patrick went on to graduate from the Marshall School of Business at theUniversity of Southern Californiain 2016.

Shriver also marked her son’s achievement with a photo of the graduate on herInstagram, which she captioned, “The one the only @patrickschwarzenegger graduated!! So proud of him. Love this pic. Onward.”

He followed in his father’s acting footsteps

Patrick has followed in his famous father’s acting footsteps. He began his career appearing as an extra inThe Benchwarmers,Stuck in Love.andGrown Ups 2, and has since gone on to star in several films and shows, includingEcho Boomers,Moxie,The Boys’ spinoffGen Vand, most recently,The White Lotus.

Patrick’s love for acting started early as he accompanied his father to sets of movies like 1997’sBatman & Robinand 2003’sTerminator 3.

“I think that I have always been interested in film and have always loved acting since going to sets with my dad,” he toldVarietyin 2019. “It was always my favorite activity.”

When he landed his role inThe White Lotus— his biggest project to date — Patrick said sharing the news with his family led to a lot of (happy) tears.

He’s worked with his brother-in-law Chris Pratt

Patrick andChris Pratt, who is married to Arnold’s eldest child, Katherine, bothstarred in the Prime Video seriesThe Terminal List, which Pratt also executive produced. But just because Patrick was Pratt’s younger brother-in-law, that didn’t mean he took it easy on him.

“I remember when Chris said, ‘Hey you know there’s this young role, Donny Mitchell, you’ll be the youngest in the platoon. But if you want to get this role, I need you to go and try to get into character and really get this,’ ” Patrick shared onJimmy Kimmel Live!in 2022.

“’I need you to gain 20 lbs. and start tactical training, and know how they move, the body language, all this stuff,’ " he continued.

Patrick followed his brother-in-law’s advice and trained with real Navy SEALs to prepare, and his commitment paid off when he was ultimately cast in the series.

He and his mom founded a company — and appeared onShark Tanktogether!

Patrick and his mother came up with the idea for their protein bar company, MOSH, when he moved into her home at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m a protein bar fanaticand I had this dream, and [Patrick] said, ‘Let me do it. I’ll help you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, wow, really?’ " Shriver told PEOPLE in May 2024. “He goes, ‘Yeah, let me help you make your dream come true.’ And he goes, ‘I know people in this space. I know how to get it up and going, and I’ll help you.’ "

The mother-son duo presented their product on an episode ofShark Tankin 2024. Speaking to PEOPLE about the experience, Shriver said, “I can tell you that itwas [on] Patrick’s bucket list. Ever since that show premiered, ever since he had his own lemonade stand, he’s been watching it religiously. He knows every episode, he knows everything about the show.”

After passing a number of “hurdles,” Shriver was thrilled when they were finally accepted.

“So I was so happy, actually, for him,” she said. “Well, I’m happy for MOSH, but I was so happy for Patrick because it was just such a dream come true for him.”

The couple met when Patrick was 21 and Champion was 18, and have been together for over a decade since — but it didn’t take long for the actor to know she was “the one.”

“I think that when we first met, there was obviously an attraction — physical attraction — and I thought she was the most beautiful girl that I had seen and had met,” he told PEOPLE in February 2025. “And [I] was interested in hanging out and going out on dates.”

He continued, “Over the course of the years, I just continuouslyfell in love with her more and more, with the kind of human that she was becoming and that the relationship was becoming.”

Patrick admitted that “one of the best things” about their relationship is that they have grown together personally and career-wise. “And it’s been kind of fun to climb that journey as one,” he said.

He and his dad have a “great friendship”

Arnold and his oldest son appeared together on the June 2019 cover ofGQGermany, where the dad of five shared that his “vision was to create great kids.”

“What I’m proud of is that I could kind of show him the way and he knew that he has all the help in the world from me all the time but that he had to do the work also,” Arnold said of Patrick.

He added that he and Patrick “have a great father-son relationship” and a “great friendship.”
