All About Harry Hamlin's Rarely-Seen Son Dimitri (Whose Mom Is a Bond Girl!)

Harry Hamlin’s son Dimitri Hamlin has followed in his parents' footsteps with some acting of his own.

The Emmy-nominated actor and Dimitri’s mom, former Bond girl Ursula Andress, met on the set ofClash of the Titansand welcomed their son on May 19, 1980. Just two weeks earlier, Hamlin told PEOPLE that entering fatherhood felt like “taking off my training wheels and getting into the mainstream of life.”

Andress also touched on how her life was about to change, adding that she “had an incredible life up until today” and thought it was “time for a change.”

Over the years, Dimitri has occasionally walked the red carpet alongside his dad and stepmom,The Real Housewives of Beverly Hill’salumLisa Rinna, whomHamlin married in March 1997.

Although Dimitri remains fairly private and off social media, Hamlin shared onInstagramin February 2019 that his son is his “pride and joy.”

He was born in May 1980

Andress and Hamlin welcomed Dimitri on May 19, 1980. According to his contributor page onHuffPost, he was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Rome.

Though his parents never married, they were together until 1983, at which point they called it quits.

“Dimitri is my love now,” Andress told PEOPLE that year of her then-toddler son.

He graduated from Princeton University

Dimitri graduated from Princeton University with a degree in philosophy, according to Bravo’sThe Daily Dish.

From 2011 to 2012, he contributed to HuffPost as an “ontological anarchist,” writing about “rugged individualism” andnihilism.

He is an actor and DJ

Dimitri has followed in his parents' footsteps as an actor, making his debut inMy Daughtersin 2005 before starring in a 2022 short film,Say Cheese!.

Beyond acting, Dimitri has explored other creative ventures, including DJing and appearing in music videos. In September 2008, he joined the set of Brian Anthony’s “Worked Up!” music video shoot.

He has joined his dad on the red carpet

Dimitri has been walking the red carpet since as early as 1996, when he joined his father at the Los Angeles premiere ofIndependence Day. However, his public appearances grew less frequent over the years.

After nearly two decades out of the spotlight, he made arare red carpet appearancein December 2024 for the season 2 premiere ofAnne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, in which his dad plays Cortland Mayfair. The outing marked Dimitri’s first time joining Hamlin and Rinna since 2006 when the trio attended the launch of Roberto Cavalli Vodka.

He has two sisters

The Hamlin sisters both grew up in Beverly Hills, Calif. After appearing alongside their mom onThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Delilah and Amelia now work as models.

Delilah made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week in 2016 when she walked for Tommy Hilfiger. Since then, she has walked in shows for Alice + Olivia and Dolce & Gabbana, and been featured inVogueandElle.

Amelia followed in her sister’s footsteps, making her New York Fashion Week debut in September 2017, walking in the Dennis Basso show. In 2024, she won model of the year at theDaily Front Row Fashion Awards.

Delilah and Amelia have also joined Dimitri in promoting their father’s culinary ventures, Harry’s Famous Sauce — which the actor wrote onInstagramhas made the family’s Sunday spaghetti dinners “extraordinary” for years.

During an August 2020 episode ofThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Rinna opened up about Hamlin’s previous relationship and him becoming a father for the first time.

While admiring the architecture in Rome, Rinna pointed out that her and Hamlin’s Los Angeles home had a similar aesthetic, saying that it “looks a little bit like this because Harry lived here for three years and he loves this.”

“He was with Ursula Andress at the time and they had a child, she lived here,” she explained to her costars.

In a confessional, Rinna described Andress as “the movie star that you would imagine,” and revealed more details to her costars about how things unfolded.

“He said she called him and said, ‘Harry, come to my room.’ And so he did, at 28 years old, he went in andshe got pregnant that night,” Rinna said. “And that was that, at 44. First time.”
