Trinity Rodman has a close relationship with her brother, DJ Rodman.

Born on April 25, 2001, Dennis “DJ” Rodman Jr. is the older child ofDennis RodmanandMichelle Moyer. Trinity joined the family 13 months later, on May 20, 2002. Their parents married in 2003 and after a divorce filing in 2004, their marriage was officially dissolved in 2012.

“She’s obviously my sister but she’s also my lifelong best friend,” DJ continued tellingPAC-12 Unlocked. “I’m always gonna have someone who’s gonna stick up for me and [we’re] just always having each other backs and just  knowing how important we are to each other.”

He was born in 2001

Dennis and Michelle welcomed their first child together, son Dennis “DJ” Rodman Jr., on April 25, 2001.

He then attended Washington State University, graduating with a degree in communications andearned his master’sfrom the University of Southern California in May 2024.

He has three sisters

After Dennis and Michelle welcomed DJ, they celebrated the arrival of their daughter Trinity about 13 months later.

“5.20.2002 | Trinity Rodman was born, or should I say my best friend, hero, and sassy sister❤️ I love you forever,” DJ wrote onInstagramin honor of his sister’s 21st birthday in 2023.

Trinity wrote an equally sweet tribute in honor of DJ’s birthday that same year.

The sister and brother also have two half-sisters: Michelle has a daughter, Teyana, from a prior marriage and she’sclose to DJandTrinity, having grown up with them. Teyana is also a mom to two children — daughter Kya born in 2017, and son Koa, born in 2018 — makingDJ an uncle.

In addition, Dennis shareshis daughter Alexiswith his first wife, Annie Bakes.

He’s a basketball player

DJ is following in his father’s footsteps: The forward played four seasons of collegiate ball at Washington State University — Trinity followed suit but left the school in 2020 after the soccer season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic — beforetransferring to USCin 2023 for his fifth and final year.

According to his profile on the Trojan’s website, DJ “is a 6-6, 225-pound forward who is a tough defender and top-notch three-point shooter."

Most recently, he entered the 2024 NBA Draft, and though he wasn’t chosen, he’s still looking to be signed with a team, according toTrojans Wire.

He and Trinity are close

Trinity and DJ can’t imagine not having each other to lean on.

“I don’t know what I’d do without u as my partner in life,” Trinity wrote in part onInstagramin 2021. “Sometimes we’re so close I think we’re twins.”

Trinity followed DJ to Washington State, though she spent much of 2020 at home with DJ and their mom at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, they spent hours together everyday, with Trinity tellingPAC-12 Unlockedthat she would walk right into his room to hang out.

DJ toldThe Spokesman-Reviewin 2023 that he and Trinity were “always gonna put each other over everyone.” Being close was a trait their mother instilled in them from a young age, and it’s stuck with them.

“Growing up, having a sibling that close and supporting each other in the little things and competing against each other in the silliest things is so insane to then look at where we are and still see the little kid relationship that we used to have,” Trinity told USWNT in March 2024.

He has a complicated relationship with their father

According to DJ, people have often made assumptions about him because of his father’s reputation, who played in the NBA for 14 years with the Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls and Dallas Mavericks, among other teams.

These notions didn’t stop when DJ got serious about basketball, but the younger Rodman toldThe Spokesman-Reviewthat he just wants to be himself, “whoever that is."

Both Trinity and DJ have been open about their relationship with their famous dad: DJ described Dennis as “an absent father” toThe Spokesman-Review, and Trinity sharedon Instagramin 2021 that she would “go months if not years without his presenceor communication."

Still, DJ chooses basketball and paints his nails because of his dad, not in spite of him, and he keeps his name to reclaim it.

“The name’s … not who I wish to be but who I want to become, as my own person,” he toldThe Spokesman-Review.

During Trinity’s 2024 appearance on theCall Her Daddypodcast, she opened up about how their father treated them during childhood and they didn’t have the best memories.

He’s dating Riley Dixon

DJ met his girlfriend, Riley Dixon, in 2022, and the pair celebratedtheir first anniversaryin September 2023.

Riley attendedRancho Bernardo High Schoolin San Diego and earned her undergraduate degree in sports management from the University of Delaware in 2021.

Afterward, she studied at Louisiana State University, where she received her master’s in liberal arts the following year, according toher LinkedIn. Now, Riley is an engineering business analyst at the aerospace and defense company Raytheon.

DJ paid tribute to his girlfriend on her 26th birthday in 2024, writing onInstagram.

“You helped me dig through the mud when I was down. You love me unconditionally no matter how stupid I sound sometimes lol. You helped me get to the place I am today. You made me see things in a different light. You make me whole.”

He’s dedicated tattoos to his family

DJ has several tattoos, two of which honor important women in his life, including Trinity.

In 2021, he showed off a trinity symbol on his inner arm, captioning hisInstagram Stories, “The holy trinity, love my sister.”

Another large piece on his lower left arm is a portrait of his mom and sisters, Trinity and Teyana.

“DJs new tattoo…so amazing,” Michelle wrote onInstagramin May 2023, alongside a closeup of the new ink. “Mamma and sissy’s 🙏🏼.”
