On Friday, Feb. 14, however, Sandlerkept things casualat theSNL50: The Homecoming Concertwearing a printed shirt, a dark jacket, light-colored pants and sneakers. His wife, Jackie, joined him on the red carpet and looked glamorous in a black plunging pantsuit.

While speaking with PEOPLE on the red carpet on Sunday,Amy Schumertook a moment to playfully roast Sandler for his attire.
“You look handsome,” she told the comedian, who was doing an interview next to her. “No, you look very handsome. Yeah, a tailor would have been … you know. Anyway.”

Sandler then leaned over to reply, “That means someone’s gotta touch me and I don’t like that.”
“He doesn’t like that, nobody touch him, okay?” Schumer joked back. “But, I mean, yeah, he has access to a tailor. He could have worked that out.”

During a 2023 appearance on theDrew Barrymore Show, Sandler shared the process behind selecting his signature colorful, baggy ensembles, a style that has been dubbed “Sandlercore.”
“I go into my closet, I got a bunch of t-shirts and shorts, kinda they’re all the same … I usually go t-shirt first … I just want to cover that quickly. I’m like what the hell, grab anything,” he joked. “Then I go with shorts and I throw them on. Sometimes they’ll be slightly too tight. I go let me take those off and get the triple-X shorts on.”
