Barbaro, 34,was nominated forBest Supporting Actress in her breakout role as a youngJoan BaezinA Complete Unknownalongside costarTimothée Chalamet, who was up for Best Actor.

Meanwhile, Garfield, 41, attended the Oscars as a presenter and was most recently nominated in 2022 for Best Actor for his role inTick Tick … Boom!

PEOPLE confirmed with a source on Feb. 21 that Barbaro and Garfield have been “quietly” seeing one another. Reps for both actors did not respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment at the time.

The pair were first photographed together withEddie Redmayneand Lynn Hirschberg atWMagazine’s Best Performances party in Los Angeles on Jan. 4.

They were later spotted in February sitting together at a performance ofRichard IIat the Bridge Theatre on London’s West End, starringJonathan Bailey.

Ina video postedon social media Feb. 20, Garfield and Barbaro, who were dressed casually, including in baseball caps, could be seen chatting before the show began.

Garfield — who has previously been linked to hisAmazing Spider-MancostarEmma Stonein the 2010s and modelAlyssa Millerup until April 2022 —  toldEsquirein an interview in October 2024 that he “won’t ever speak about or confirm or denyanything about my personal life with anyone.”

Most recently, theWe Live in Timeactor was known to be in a relationship with spiritual readerKate Tomas. They were firstlinked in March 2024but had split “months” before Tomas revealed in October thatthey were no longer together.

Sunday marked Barbaro’s first Oscar nomination, while Garfield was also previously recognized in the Best Actor category for his role in 2016’sHacksaw Ridge.
