Annie Pottsis throwing it back!
The actress, 72, recently reminisced with a sweet image featuring her former costar,Mark Hamill, while the pair were promoting their 1978 flick,Corvette Summer.
On Wednesday, March 12, Potts posted an Instagram photo alongside Hamill, now 73, as they posed inside a Corvette outside a movie theater. In the image, Potts is seen smiling with her arms up in the air as Hamill smiles beside her.
The second photo in the Instagram carousel includes a photo of the comedy film’s movie poster, with cartoon versions of the pair posing on top of a Corvette. The promotional tagline reads, “And he thought fast cars were a thrill…”
“Mark Hamill who you loved inStar Wars. Annie Potts who you’ll never forget,” the promotional image included.
“Look what I found! Just me and @markhamill doing an old-fashioned press tour for Corvette Summer. My first feature film. There’s something magical about candid shots, even though they’re not perfect,” she captioned the photo.

Prior to her Wednesday post, in July 2024, she added aphotoof the pair posing on the red Corvette. “☀️What’s Summer without a Corvette? Me and @markhamill 1978,” she captioned the post.
“Love you Annie, even though I still think you’re much too young to play Meemaw. ❤️-mh,” Hamill replied, referencing her recent role in the hit seriesYoung Sheldon.

Potts, in a 2017 interview withMedia Village, said it was “so exciting, as it was my first film.” Adding, “And for Mark … wellStar Warsliterally opened three weeks before we started shooting so it was crazy!”
“That was his first big taste and it was the biggest thing ever! Even at that point no one knew how huge [Star Wars] would be.”
“He is just a lovely person,” she added of her costar. “I had no experience in film and Mark was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He was also a great teacher saying things like, ‘No, you don’t want to do that because of lighting,' " she said. “That’s the thing that stands out for me now with [that movie], is just how much fun we had.”
