Antonio Banderas Shares Throwback Photo from His Schoolboy Days: 'A Look Back to Class'

In theblack-and-white imagetaken during the 1966-1967 school year, Banderas, now 64, is one of the only students looking up at the camera, wearing what appears to be a smirk, as his classmates appear deeply entrenched in their schoolwork.

“A look back to class,” the actor captioned his photo, crediting the school. “Good luck to those of you who are taking exams.”

TheInstagram postfrom El Divino Pastor School included a couple more photos of a young Banderas, including one of him posing for a portrait with an academic backdrop and one taking part in a nativity scene, in which he appeared to be playing Joseph.

“The El Divino Pastor School in Malaga, formerly called El Buen Pastor, was the place where Antonio Banderas (@antoniobanderas) took his first academic and personal steps. 🤩,” read the caption on the school’s post, which was made on Oct. 22, 2024.

While Banderas is reminiscing about the past, he is also looking forward to the future, including daughterStella Banderas' upcoming wedding.

Back in August 2024, the 28-year-old — who is Banderas' only child, with ex-wifeMelanie Griffith— gotengaged to Alex Gruszynski.

PEOPLE spoke to Banderas on Sept. 1, 2024, at the amfAR Gala in Venice, Italy, held during theVenice Film Festival, where he touched briefly onStella’s relationship milestone.

“I feel great! She’s happy, I’m happy,” said the actor as he attended the star-studded event alongside longtime girlfriendNicole Kimpel.

Of his entrepreneur soon-to-be son-in-law, theMask of Zorrostar added to PEOPLE at the event, “He’s awesome. I’ve known him since he was a little kid.”
