Anya Taylor-Joy Says She Would 'Love' to Act Alongside Husband Malcolm McRae in a Movie, but Has 1 Stipulation (Exclusive)

Anya Taylor-Joyis open to acting alongside her husbandMalcolm McRaein a film — on one condition.
While attending the premiere ofThe Gorgein Los Angeles on Feb. 12, the actress, 28, revealed what it would take for her and McRae, 30, to appear onscreen together.
“I mean, I would love to. It would just have to be the right script,” Taylor-Joy told PEOPLE exclusively.
The star first confirmed she was in a relationship in April 2021. A year later, shesecretly wedMcRae in New Orleans, and the couple latertied the knot againin Venice, Italy, in October 2023.
“I’ve finally found someone who will happily sit in silence with me reading,” Taylor-Joy toldBritishVogueof her musician and actor beau in April 2022. “We’re basically 80 years old and 7 at the same time, and it works really well.”

The Gorgepremiered onValentine’s Dayand follows two operatives (Taylor-Joy andMiles Teller) who are appointed to posts in guard towers on opposite sides of a vast and mysterious gorge. When a threat reveals itself, they must protect the world — and themselves — from danger.

When asked whyThe Gorgeis a “perfect” film for Valentine’s Day, Taylor-Joy told PEOPLE, “Because it’s badass, and it is surprising.”
“It has a little bit of everything for everyone,” continued the star, whose previous film projects includeFuriosa: A Mad Max Saga,The MenuandThe Super Mario Bros. Movie.
