Ariana Grande Reacts to Shady Instagram Post About Carrie Underwood's Performance at Donald Trump's Inauguration

Ariana Grandehas seemingly reacted toCarrie Underwood’s performance at the presidential inauguration.

Underwood, 41,sang “America the Beautiful”at the inauguration of PresidentDonald Trumpon Monday, Jan. 20 in Washington, D.C.

“Kamala Harris evoking Coco Montrese (‘Girl, find the note’) watching Carrie Underwood at today’s chilling Inauguration,” Katz captioned the post in a nod toRuPaul’s Drag Racecontestant Montrese, who famously told a contestant to “find the note” in 2016 confessional.

Ariana Grande Seemingly Shades Carrie Underwood’s Inauguration Performance

Grande, 31, was among the more than 22,000 “likes” on the Instagram post. TheWickedstar previously shared that she’d voted for Harris in a selfie she shared to her Instagram Stories encouraging her followers to vote.

Reps for Grande and Underwood did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Underwood faced technical difficulties that delayed her performance inside the Capitol rotunda, and she ultimatelysang a cappella, asking attendees to join her.

“You know the words,” she said, as people in the crowd including former PresidentJoe Bidenand Harris sang along.

After finishing the song, theAmerican Idolalum shook hands with Trump and his Vice PresidentJD Vancebefore exiting the stage.

Other performances throughout Trump’s inaugural events included the Village People,NellyandBilly Ray Cyrus.

Underwood previouslyaddressed her decision to performat the swearing-in ceremony in a statement shared with PEOPLE.

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” she said. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

Underwood had kept her political views private for years because, as she toldTheGuardianin 2019, “nobody wins.”

“It’s crazy. Everybody tries to sum everything up and put a bow on it, like it’s black and white. And it’s not like that,” she told the publication at the time.
