Ariana Grande's 59-Year-Old Archival Dress at 2025 Golden Globes Is a Subtle Nod to HerWickedCharacter

Ariana Grandebrought the magic to the2025 Golden Globes.

“It’s yellow because follow the yellow brick road,” Grande toldVarietyduring the preshow. “And it’s one of Glinda’s favorite colors.”

The star added, “This is Givenchy 1966 archive. My stylist Mimi [Cuttrell] and I found it and we were so excited.”

In a release about the look, an archivist at Givenchy shared, “The dress is pale yellow silk with a hand-beaded bodice … from the epic Givenchy Haute Couture/Audrey Hepburn era … cne of the most important unions between a designer and muse.”

Grande accessorized with white opera gloves, pale yellow pointed-toe pumps, a sparkling Swarovski Una Angelic choker and matching rings and earrings. She wore her blonde hair in a sleek ponytail with short bangs.

At the 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards on Jan. 3, Grande arrived wearing a custom Louis Vuitton dress with avoluminous bubble skirtthat resembled Glinda’s preferred mode of transportation inWickedandThe Wizard of Oz. She wore her dark blonde hair pulled back from her face with her bangs swept to the side.

Her mom perfectly contrasted her in an all-black look, wearing a long-sleeved dress, which she paired with black tights and black heels. Thetwo posed for photos on the red carpetahead of the event.
