Ariana Madix Says She ‘Would Love’ to Expand Something About Her Sandwich Shop (Exclusive)

Ariana Madixhas business on her mind!

When asked if she and Maloney are working on expanding their West Hollywood sandwich shop, which has become a popular destination for Bravo fans and other tourists, Madix tells PEOPLE, “Not at the moment, but that would be great. Would love that.”

She tells PEOPLE that despite her busy schedule, she helps run the business through constant communication.

“A lot of the stuff is via the phone,” she explains. “Either texts, emails, dealing with that side of the business. And then whenever I’m in town I go in as much as possible to say hi to everyone.”

Something About Her opened this past Mayafter plans for its development were announced in 2022. Logistical issues caused multiple delays.

The eatery is located a few doors down from SUR Restaurant,Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant where Maloney, 37, was a server and Madix was a bartender. SUR served as a backdrop for earlier seasons ofVanderpump Rules.

Ahead of its opening, Madix shared with PEOPLE thatshe and Maloney never lost faith in finally seeing the restaurant come to fruition.

“We both believed that it would always happen, that we were going to make it happen. But there was definitely some moments of deep breathing at times when something else would pop up, and you just have to take a second,” she said.

Maloney shared similar sentiments in the May conversation, expressing, “I don’t think it was ever a moment of ‘this won’t happen,’ but it was just kind of like, ‘Okay, but how much longer are we talking? Are we talking weeks or months at this point?’ "

Madix spoke to PEOPLE ahead of her “Art of Adaptation: Books, Broadway, Blockbusters & Beyond” panel at the Power Women Summit, where she talked about her Broadway debut performing asRoxie Hart inChicagoand her preparation for the iconic role.

While she won’t be returning toVanderpump Rulesfollowing a cast shakeup, Madixfeels “great"that fans finally know the show’s fate, telling PEOPLE “I’m glad that people and the public now know what’s going on.”

Season 12 ofVanderpump Rules, which will feature a new group of SUR employees, is slated to premiere in 2025.
