Audrey Hepburn’s spectacular former Swiss villa is up for sale!
Dubbed La Paisible (meaning “the peaceful” in French), the manor is located in Tolochenaz, Vaud, just off of Lake Geneva in Switzerland and about half an hour outside of Geneva itself. TheBreakfast at Tiffany’sstar lived in the manor for more than 30 years beforeshe died therefromcancer in 1993 at age 63.

“It is prestigiously positioned between a manor and a luxurious country estate,” according to Knight Frank’s listing. The 21-room property includes 12 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, as well as five fireplaces.
According toBloomberg,the updates in 2001 were minimal and included modernizing some of the kitchen, remodeling the bathrooms, updating the electrical systems and adding more guest bedrooms.

Although the outlet reports that the property is going for around $21 million (or about $18.9 Swiss francs), Knight Frank simply states that interested buyers should inquire for the price.

The whole property includes five entrances, including one which leads visitors to a two-bedroom guest apartment that is attached to the main house and feature a fully equipped kitchen.

TheRoman Holidayactress' former Swiss home also boasts a 16,000 square foot private park, which is “adorned with century-old trees and a [50-foot] heated pool thoughtfully placed away from the main house,” per the listing. There’s also two garages and outdoor parking for 15 more cars.
Knight Frank states that the home’s architecture is grade 2 listed, meaning that the property is culturally significant for its design and history.

The Swiss villa is one of dozens of homes that Hepburn lived in throughout her life, as she spent parts ofher childhood in Belgium, England and the Netherlandsbefore moving to the U.S., Italy and then Switzerland in her later years.
According to Bloomberg, the star purchased the home in 1963 and lived there until her death. Her sonsLuca Dotti, 55, andSean Hepburn Ferrer, 64, sold the property less than 10 years later to Katharina Beaujolin and her husband Jean-Marc Beaujolin, the current chairman of ECH Ltd. Katharina told the outlet that Hepburn was one of her favorite actresses.
“The house is called ‘La Paisible,’ which means ‘peaceful place,’ and it really is a peaceful place,” Katharina shared. “It has quite the amazing atmosphere.”
