Ayo Edebiri Channeled an Iconic Julia Roberts '90s Red Carpet Look at the 2025 Golden Globes

Ayo Edebiriis paying homage toJulia Robertsat the2025 Golden Globes!

The Bearstar, 29, arrived on the red carpet in a baggy gray suit in a nod to Roberts’s iconic look she wore at the ceremony back in 1990.

The actress accessorized her minimal look with Mejuri hoop earrings and silver grills and a red heart-in-hand badge worn on the lapel of her jacket.

Edebiri also sported loose auburn waves matching Robert’s hairstyle at the 1990 Golden Globes. She shared of her newly dyed hairstyle onToday, “We dyed my hair this morning. It was kind of insane dying my hair in a hotel room, but I think worth it!”

Roberts previously described her outfit at the 1990 Golden Globes, where she won best supporting actress for her role inSteel Magnolias, as “one of my all-time favorite outfits” she’s worn at the awards ceremony.

“I did my hair, my girlfriend did my makeup. And I got this suit at Armani in Beverly Hills,” Roberts explained of her look toBritish Voguein January 2024. “I went into the men’s department and they had an in-store tailor and they tailored it to fit me.”

“I don’t even know that people wore really fancy gowns to the Golden Globes then the way they do now, but I thought I was very extra in this outfit,” Roberts continued.  “I could not have known that it was going to become this, like, statement outfit — I just thought I looked fabulous.”

The actress added that she “still ha[s] that suit” all these years later.
