The 2025Audie Awardswas a star-studded affair — with several Hollywood A-listers and notable authors taking some of the evening’s top honors.

TheAudio Publishers Associationheld their 30th annual Audie Awards at Pier Sixty in New York City where the APA honored numerous celebrities includingKate McKinnon, 41,Whoopi Goldberg, 69, andBarbra Streisand, 82, and longtime authors likeStephen King, for their audiobook work.

“Every recording session with Barbra was an absolute open door into her process,” Dziekonski said during the awards ceremony. “It showed what a steadfast and committed artist that she is. And a remarkable human being.”

Goldberg, who earned Best Narration for her narration of her novelBits and Pieces,also had a sentimental moment on the stage as she expressed her gratitude to all the narrators in the room who have helped her discover new stories through the audiobook format.

“You all should know that I probably have each and every one of you in my phone because I have ten thousand audiobooks,” Goldberg said. “I grew up dyslexic so hearing things read to me is heaven.”
