Multiple major wildfires areraging around Los Angeles, forcing tens of thousands of people to evacuate, threatening thousands of structures and leading to a still unknown number of deaths and injuriesin the “inferno.”
While firefighters and first responders continue to battle the blazes that erupted just two days ago — and as the ultimate scale of the destruction is still coming into focus — before-and-after photos of areas around the city, and from satellites, capture the swift devastation.
No one has been spared, including celebrities.
“I mean, everybody lost their house,” TikTok star Caitlin Doranrecently told PEOPLEafter she had to flee. “So it’s all of us. We’re all going to be figuring it out together, but there’s nothing to go back to.”
Billy Crystal echoed thatin a statement to PEOPLE, saying in part, “Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.”
