Emma Robertsand Karah Preiss are beginning a new year with their book club.The friends foundedBelletrist, an online reading community, in 2017, and have chosen over 70 books across genres to share with readers since. Belletrist chooses a new book to read every month, and has since expanded to offer club members the opportunity to have books delivered to their doorsteps, through apartnership with Tertulia.Roberts told PEOPLE in a Nov. 2024 email interview that when it comes to selecting books for the club, “there is no formula.”“It’s genuinely whatever moves us,” she said. “But I will say this … we try to pick books that we read and then need to talk about. That’s what makes a good Belletrist pick.
