Beverly Hills Doctor Accused of Drugging, Raping Unconscious Employee

A Beverly Hills doctor has been charged with drugging and raping an employee — and investigators believe there could be more victims.
Babak Hajhosseini, the founder of the Wound and Burn Centers of America, was arrested on Nov. 26 and charged with sexually assaulting an unconscious person,according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

On one occasion, police say he “pressured” a female employee to drink an alcoholic beverage, causing her to pass out. He then allegedly sexually assaulted her and recorded the incident.

While he is charged in just one sexual assault, police believe there may be other victims; authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Hajhosseini has pleaded not guilty to the charges,according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
Reached for comment, Hajhosseini’s attorney Caleb Mason, of Werksman Jackson & Quinn LLP, denied the allegations against his client and called them “false” and “salacious,” noting Hajhosseini had passed a polygraph test.
“Dr. Hajhosseini will try his case in court, not in the media. In the courtroom, cases are decided based on evidence, not innuendo,” said Mason.
“In fact, there is substantial evidence proving that these allegations are false, and that evidence will be presented in court,” Mason continued. “Additionally, Dr. Hajhosseini voluntarily took a polygraph exam, which he passed. Dr. Hajhosseini looks forward to complete vindication in court.”
