Christina Haack Says Ex Josh Hall ‘Wouldn't Speak' to Her for Days If She Interacted with Tarek El Moussa

Christina Haack(formerly Hall) is opening up about the downfall of her marriage with exJosh Hall— including his alleged jealousy toward her first husband and current costar,Tarek El Moussa.

Christina, 41, sits down with Tarek, 43, and breaks the news that she and Josh have officially separated, during the Jan. 29 series premiere ofThe Flip Off.The conversation turns into an unexpectedly candid — and tear-filled — heart to heart between the co-parents.

One of the things Christina shares is the cold treatment she says Josh would give her whenever she interacted with her first ex-husband.

“You make him very insecure,” she tells Tarek of Josh, 44, as the two sit on the couch in herNewport Beach, Calif. home. “Every time we’d barely joke at [the kids'] soccer [games], or if I laughed at you, he like would not speak to me for two to three days. I would get silent treatment.”

Christina and Tarek often both attend their nine-year-old son Brayden’s soccer events with their respective spouses: Josh and Tarek’s new wife Heather Rae El Moussa, who also stars inThe Flip Off.Christina and Tarek also share a daughter, Taylor, 14.

Christina continues, telling Tarek about other red flags in her marriage to Josh: “He doesn’t like me, calls me cocky. He thinks I’m arrogant. We both know I’m not cocky or arrogant. I just do work.”

Comforting his ex-wife, Tarek says, “You’re not any of those things. He’s projecting. You’re a great mother, you’re a great daughter. You’re… you are a great human.”

In a confessional clip, the mom of three (she also shares son, Hudson, 5, with her second husband, Ant Anstead) admits she never wanted to get divorced even once, and that she’s the only person in her family to have done so.

Christina then breaks down in tears and tells Tarek that “everything since 2016 has just been so hard," in a scene which PEOPLE previously shared as anexclusive first lookat the series in December.

“I feel like I’m in a tornado all the time and I just can’t get out of it. Everything since like 2016 has just been so hard and so horrible. There’s so many good things but there’s just so many bad things. It’s just really taken a really bad toll on me,” she explains.

Christina and Tarek were married for seven years before aharrowing incident involving a gunin 2016 led to the end of their relationship. The exes — who continued to film their hit showFlip or Flopfor several seasons after their split — werenot always on the best termsin the years following their divorce.

However, Tarek told PEOPLE in January 2024 that his relationship with Christina was“better than it’s beenever, since the separation."
