The hosts of theTodayshow got together for an old-fashioned Christmas cookie swap, but one of the holiday treats didn’t sit too well withCraig Melvin.

During the morning show’s third hour on Wednesday, Dec. 18, Melvin, 45,Dylan Dreyer,Sheinelle Jones,Al Rokersat down to swap cookies — with some of them being annual holiday family recipes.  That’s when Dreyer, 43, introduced her Aunt Tilly’s Christmas recipe, a “biscuit-y” anise cookie she said have appeared on the show “for the 12 years I’ve been here.”

After some of her co-hosts weren’t so anxious to take a bite, Dreyer took notice and didn’t seem to let it down for the duration of the segment. “How come you guys aren’t grabbing it?” Jones, 46, then asked Melvin and Roker, 70, who also didn’t seem too eager to dig in.

After answering him, she immediately turned the attention back to her aunt’s cookies. “Would you just taste the cookie?” she urged Melvin.

“I’ve had ‘em before. I have them every year!” he replied, before Dreyer insisted, “It’s good.” That’s when he started cracking up and finally took a bite.

“You guys are missing out,” said Dreyer, who clearly enjoyed her aunt’s holiday treat. “Merry Christmas to you guys too, Grinches.”

Roker then turned to Melvin, asking him what he thought of Aunt Tilly’s cookie, but his co-host was hesitant to say what was on his mind. Although, it was visibly clear he was not a fan of the taste.  “Skip me!” he exclaimed, while hysterically laughing.

“We don’t want him to choke on Aunt Tilly’s cookie,” quipped Jones.

Melvin then signaled that it was Roker’s turn to introduce his Christmas cookie, which the co-host described as a “plain sugar cookie” — but Dreyer didn’t letting Melvin off the hook just yet. “I’m going to try yours,” she told Roker while pointedly looking at Melvin. “It’s the polite thing to do.”

Melvin was quick to jump in and have a taste — and Dreyer, seemingly still holding a bit of a grudge for Aunt Tilly, took notice. “You jumped right in on her cookies,” she said.

“Well, ‘cause it’s delicious,” Jones offered without missing a beat. Roker then had a taste as well, describing them as “kind of like a snickerdoodle.”

“Oh, that’s good!” exclaimed Melvin, clearly enjoying them far more than he did Aunt Tilly’s cookies.

But in the end, he still gave Aunt Tilly one last shout-out. The cast revealed that all of the cookies recipes that appeared on the show would be available on theirwebsite. “Check out Aunt Tilly’s cookie!” Melvin shouted.
