Demi Moore Wears Daring Sequin Gown for 2025 BAFTAs — and It's Even Better from the Back!

Demi Moorehas done it again.

The actress, 62, walked the red carpet at the2025 BAFTAsin London in a jaw-dropping gown. Moore wore a custom Alexander McQueen sequin gown with a turtleneck and backless silhouette. The colorful gown draped into a long train.

She accessorized with a matching clutch and Christian Louboutin heels. She wore dazzling De Beers jewels and her glam only added to the look. Her dark hair was styled into her usual sleek, middle-parted look and her makeup was in shades of light pink to match the gown.

Moore’s stylist, Brad Goreski, shared a video onInstagramof the actress after she’d gotten ready and before she’d headed to the ceremony. The up-close look showed the intricate sequin work on the custom gown. Goreski wrote in the caption, “Moore McQueen for the @bafta awards.”

At the BAFTA Awards, Moore is nominated for leading actress for her role inThe Substance.She’s up against Mike Madison forAnora, Karla Sofía Gascón forEmilia Pérez, Marianne Jean-Baptiste forHard Truths, Saoirse Ronan forThe Outrunand Cynthia Erivo forWicked.

Earlier this month, the 30th annualCritics Choice Awardscrowned Moore as best actress for this role.

That evening, she bested her competition and fellow nominees, includingCynthia Erivo(Wicked),Karla Sofía Gascón(Emilia Pérez),Marianne Jean-Baptiste(Hard Truths),Angelina Jolie(Maria) andMikey Madison(Anora).

“I just want to say the very recognition, not just for me, but for what this film is about, what it’s trying to convey, your acknowledgment is almost like the elixir. It is the healing balm to the very issue the film brings forward,” Moore said in her acceptance speech.

At the show, she wore aform-fitting Schiaparelli couture corset gowncinched at the waist before showing off an exaggerated hip, a signature of the house.

The bodice sparkled, and the skirt offered a shredded silhouette that showed peeks of Moore’s skin. She wore dark blue heels with a white pearl detail on the front.

Moore started her 2025 awards season on a high note at the2025 Golden Globeson Jan. 5 when she won the award for best female actor in a motion picture film.

In her acceptance speech, Moore said, “I’ve been doing this a long time, like over 45 years and this is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor," before continuing on saying a producer had dismissed her career’s potential calling her“a popcorn actress,”30 years prior.

She toldVarietyon the red carpet that she “walked” from her hotel. And when asked where it was, she simply replied, “not far.”

Moore also earned her first-ever Oscar nomination this year.

“Being nominated for an Oscar is an incredible honor and these last few months have been beyond my wildest dreams,” Moore said soon after hearing news of her nomination.

“Truly there are no words to fully express my joy and overwhelming gratitude for this recognition. Not only for me but for what this film represents. I am deeply humbled,” she continued.

In the multi-award winning film, Moore plays an actress named Elisabeth Sparkle. She’s abruptly fired from her exercise show when her creepy boss (Dennis Quaid) decides to hunt for younger talent to be the face of the series.

Desperate to stay relevant, Elisabeth starts taking a mysterious drug known as the Substance, which causes her body to create a younger version of herself, Sue (Margaret Qualley).
