Dessert 'Chips and Salsa' Recipe Is TikTok's New Viral Food Trend

Dessert “chips and salsa” are the new TikTok food craze right now.

To make the “chips,” meltalmond barkorchocolate chipsand spread onto a sheet pan before freezing and cutting into chip-like pieces. Simply chop a container’s worth of strawberries into salsa-like pieces to cultivate the sweet “dip.”

The easy trade-in of strawberries for salsa and chocolate for chips has sent users scrambling to try it out, as multiple TikTokers have taken to posting about their pleasant experiences with the sweet twist on the traditional snack.

Behind the text, the user is seen scooping a piece of the chocolate into a bowl of cut up strawberries.

In contrast, Nestle Toll House, known for their chocolate chips, dropped the comment “time to shine🥰.”

Other users are using the trend as anon-theme Valentine’s Day sweet,sharing their dessert salsa snacks set up amongst V-Day spreads and placed over a TikTok sound that says, “This is my meal, I call it girl dinner.”

For additional flavor,some usershave gone as far to melt chocolate onto actual salsa-dipping tortilla chips, while some experiment with adding more fruit to the ‘salsa,’ or adding toppings such as sprinkles or whipped cream.
