Ciara, 39, shared a screenshot from their call, also offering a glimpse at Normani’s oval-shaped ring. “[Russell] and I knew when we introed yall 3yrs ago .. love was truly in the air! Now yall gon be booed up for forever!!” she wrote in the caption. “This was the best news! [DK and Normani], we love yall so much!”
The FaceTime call saw Wilson, 36, happily surprised while Ciara was all smiles as Normani held her ring up to the camera.
Metcalf announced their engagement on March 13, while speaking to reporters followinghis transferfrom the Seattle Seahawks to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“My family and her family was in Houston. It was my sister’s Spring Break and just thought about getting the whole family together for a big kumbaya and joining our families with the ring,” the NFL star said of the proposal.
In anApple Music interview with Ebro, Normani shared in June 2024 that Ciara and Wilson were mutual friends with her and her fiancé. The couple finally met at one of Ciara’s parties three years ago — after Ciara insisted Normani attend and Wilson did the same to Metcalf, maneuvering a blind meet up for the pair.
“They was playing cupid, but it worked,” Normani said, adding, “If you could trust a couple [to set you up], that would be the couple.”
They were first linked in 2022, when they were seen at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. Normani later confirmed their relationship in July 2023 when she posted a photo of Metcalf kissing her cheek.
