Doechii Finally Releases 'Anxiety' — a Song That She Recorded in Her Bedroom in 2019

Doechiiisn’t feeling anxious about this music release.

The “NISSAN ALTIMA” rapper released the song “Anxiety” on Tuesday, March 4. Doechii, 26, originallyrecorded the song in 2019in her bedroom for her self-released mixtapeCoven Music Sessions.

It was never released until now, and the Grammy winner elaborated on the track’s “lore” on her Instagram Stories on March 4.

“But my song is using the sample of ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’ and then I took that beat from ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’ and I made my own song on top of it called ‘Anxiety.’ So then I dropped that song on YouTube and never hear it streaming.”

“And thenSleepy Hallowsampled that, it got approved, and then that song blew up,” she continued. “People are finding the original version that I did on YouTube, and that’s blowing up on TikTok. And now people want me to release the full version and we’re here.

“And I’m releasing it, and it’s gonna be out, so, y’all can enjoy the full version and that’s the lore behind ‘Anxiety.’ " She signed off the Instagram Stories blowing a kiss.

Doechii’s delayed release comes weeks after her win at the2025 Grammy Awards. The “Nosebleeds” rappertook home a Gramophone for best rap album.

Doechii continued: “I put my heart and my soul into this mixtape. I bared my life. I went through so much. I dedicated myself to sobriety and God told me I would be rewarded. And I have to thank God.”
