Drew Scott's Christmas Tree Almost 'Collapsed' with Him Under It, But His Wife Linda 'Saved My Life': WATCH

Drew Scott and his wife Linda Phan’s Christmas spirit nearly came crashing down.

In a newvideotour of his L.A. home elaborately decorated for the holidays shared on Drew and his twin brother Jonathan Scott’swebsite, Drew revealed the moment in which he almost got decked instead of his halls.

In the footage, he can be seen with his feet sticking out from under the tree as it starts to teeter over. Linda jumps into action, giving the tree a full-body hug to prevent it from collapsing on Drew.

“I took the stand, and I was rotating the tree, and it just collapsed on itself,” he shared. “Thankfully, Linda saved my life.”

The tour begins in the couple’s front entryway, where pink and green pastel ribbon bows adorn a banister leading upstairs.“Every year, we add a little something, or we just try to change a little something,” Drew says. “This year, we wanted to simplify a little bit, so instead of having the thick green garland with pinecones and everything else coming up the railing, we went with these ribbons — a little classier.”

Ribbons are a motif throughout the house, an idea that Drew credits Linda with coming up with.“Linda is the ribbon queen,” Drew says of his wife, who can be seen in the video draping bows over the couple’s Christmas tree.“As in, I just found a ton of scrap ribbon, and it’s going on the tree,” Linda jokes.

The couple’s tree is a homemade winter wonderland, Drew shares, pointing out ornaments from their kids and snowflakes that the couple made themselves to fill in the tree. Drew makes sure to decorate around with non-breakable ornaments for when little kids are underfoot.“For the record, Jonathan has so many breakable ornaments and decor pieces around his house. With little ones, I like to ensure that I have more wood products or even if it’s a ball on the tree, it’s something that, if it falls, it bounces,” Drew says, dropping an ornament to show that it’s shatterproof.Drew also shared a surprising tree decorating hack.“I’m going to tell you a dirty little secret that I don’t think Linda wants me to tell you,” Drew stage whispers to the camera. “There are no ornaments on the backside of the tree. We ran short!”

Linda overhears and likens the tree to wearing “a hospital gown,” covered in the front and bare in the back.

Also in the living room is the couple’s “pièce de résistance,” as Drew calls it. A miniature holiday train runs on hanging tracks around the room’s ceiling, suspended so that they are visible from people below.“Parker loves trains,” Drew says. “We figured this year we would do a little track. Linda brought it up as an amazing idea that she thought would never come to fruition, and I thought, ‘We have to make this happen,’ especially for Parker… and to show Linda that I can follow through and get something done.“The outside of the couple’s house is just as nostalgic and festive as the inside.

“Growing up, our parents always went all out,” Drew shares. “We decorated the house, we would put up the lights with our dad. It wasn’t quite to the Griswold level that I have now, but I think even Chevy Chase would be proud of me.“The lights on the outside of the house are smart lights, meaning that the couple put them up around Halloween and then just changed the colors using a remote to match the Christmas theme.
