Eagles General Manager Left Bleeding After Getting Hit in Head with Beer Can at Super Bowl Victory Parade

There was one party foul at the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl victory parade.

On Friday, Feb. 14, the NFL team’s general manager, Howie Roseman, sustained an unexpected injury when he took a beer can to the head.

At the celebration, Roseman, 49, took the stage and showed off his crescent-shaped wound. As he held up the Super Bowl LIX trophy and smoked his cigar, he declared, “I bleed for this city!”

“Go Eagles,” he continued, per a Sports Centersocial media post: “Our players, our staff have done an unbelievable job. We are two time royal champs and we’re coming back strong. Go, birds!”

“I laughed at him a little bit when it happened,” Eagles player Josh Sweat toldNBC Sports Philadelphia.“And I know he’s mad at me. … When I saw it, I knew what happened, and I couldn’t contain my laugh. … I did not throw the can at him. But, hey, that’s part of it. They’re throwing full cans and bottles.”

Roseman has served as the team’s GM for 15 years. Under his leadership, the Eagles have reached three Super Bowls, winning for the first time ever in 2018 and then again in 2025.

Roseman’s injury follows Philadelphia’s lively celebration on Friday, after the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs during the2025 Super Bowlon Sunday, Feb. 9.

After the song, Kelce, 37, chugged his pint of beer as fellow patrons cheered him on. He pumped his fists in the air after he finished the drink as the entire bar clapped.

During the parade itself,Saquon Barkleyspotted the team’s ball boy, known as Aidan Z, behind the barricade. Once Barkley, 28, recognized Aidan, hehelped him over the barricadeto join the team in the celebrations.

According to the WTTW Podcast account, the ball boy was left off of the team’s bus during the parade, but Barkley made sure he was included in the festivities as a member of the Eagles squad.

Sadly, violence marred the celebration.

ThePhiladelphia Inquirer,CBS NewsandWJLAreported that two people were shot at the victory parade, near the parade route in the city’s Spring Garden neighborhood.

Further details surrounding the incident remain unclear. PEOPLE has contacted the Philadelphia Police Department for comment.

A year ago,one person was killed and 22 injuredwhen gunfire erupted at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Parade.
