Emily Osment Says Her Birthday Was 'So Special' After She Turned 33 on the Same Day She Settled Divorce from Jack Anthony

Emily Osmentis ringing in a new year of life following her divorce fromJack Anthony.

She hadfiled three days prior, citing irreconcilable differencesand listed their date of separation as Dec. 7 — less than two months aftertheir Oct. 12 wedding. The couple do not share any kids and they did have a prenup in place.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, March 12, Osment shared two photos from a trip to Ojai Valley Inn to mark her birthday as she sat in a tree and then swung from it, writing in the post’s caption, “33 climb a tree!!”

“Thank you for all the sweet birthday wishes! and for all my tremendous, wild and beautiful friends that made this week so special in so many ways ❤️‍🔥,” she continued. “I love you!”

After she filed for divorce, Osment said in a statement to PEOPLE, “I think with any big decision in your life, whether it’s relationships or work or whatever it may be, you have to firmly plant both feet in that decision. Ultimately, it didn’t work out.”

She was seen for the first time following the shocking newson March 11 as she andher brother Haley Joel Osmentgrabbed lunch and went on a walk in L.A. She was dressed casually in workout gear and had her dog with her during the outing, too.

TheYoung Sheldonstargot engaged to Anthony in June 2023, and wrote in an Instagrampostat the time that she was “deliriously happy” and “so proud of the life we have built together and the people we have become over the last few years.”

“This love is so big and so uniquely ours and I know it can do anything,” she wrote. “I am so honored to stand next to you every day. I love you, Jack.”

She told PEOPLE in May 2024 that she couldn’t “wait to be married"and wished she could “just jump to that.”

“It’s so exciting, and we have to constantly remind ourselves, you’re only going to do this once,” she said at the time, noting how many “very small decisions that don’t seem to matter” she had on her plate as she was planning the ceremony. “But on the day, you’re going to be so happy that you sat down and went through the tough decision-making. Because at the end of the day, you get to be married, and that’s the greatest thing ever.”
