Florence Pugh Left Speechless After Learning About Her Unknown Ancestor: ‘My Parents Have No Idea’ (Exclusive)

TheOscar nominee, 29, joins hostAntoni Porowski, 40, on the new series, which sees theQueer Eyestar travel the globe with celebrities as they discover their unknown family histories and cultures through food.

In the exclusive clip, above, Porowski explains that he and Pugh learned more about theLittle Womenstar’s great-great-great grandparents. “It has been a real delight,” he begins. “But now I want to turn to their daughter and her family."

An excited Pugh replies: “That’s where the Pugh came in!”

Porowski confirms, “That’s where the Pugh came in. And they got married, and this is their daughter’s act of birth.” As the chef hands the document to theWe Live in a Timestar, he asks, “Do you see her name?”

Immediately, Pugh gasps in astonishment and says, “No!” But Porowski reassures her as she adds, “Florence?!”

“Florence Pugh,” she reads after a moment of silent shock. “So there’s already been — I feel quite emotional — there’s already been a Florence Pugh. She was born the 25th of November, 1882. That’s crazy.”

“Your parents never mentioned anything, or grandparents about [this]?”

“No idea. My parents have no idea,” she reveals. “I was named after the city. My mom’s gonna scream.”

As the clip comes to a close, Porowski and Pugh hold a toast to remember the actress’ ancestor.
