Former Miss USA Noelia Voigt got engaged to her boyfriend of six years, Jack Henry Hendrix, on Nov. 30 at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida.The proposal was six months in the making, with the couple’s families sworn to secrecy and the photographer a key part of the plan.Now, the couple hope to tie the knot next year in an “intimate” ceremony.Former Miss USA Noelia Voigtis engaged!Construction engineer Jack Henry Hendrix, 26, popped the question to the2023 titleholder, 25, at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida, on Nov. 30. Voigt’s photographer, Carlos Velez, was in on the plan from the beginning, and tried to play off that he was in town for the Thanksgiving holiday and simply wanted to shoot some post-Miss USA content with her. But Voigt wasn’t entirely fooled.“I remember thinking that morning as I got ready and drove to the location that it could finally be the time that I was getting engaged but I did not know 100%,” she recalls. “It was just a spidey sense.“Hendrix adds that the proposal was especially “difficult to plan, pull off and keep away” from Voigt because she is “basically an investigative reporter when it comes to surprises.“When they arrived at the museum, the former Miss Utah and her photographer began shooting like they normally would, walking from spot to spot to find the best lighting. Once she reached him, he asked her to repeat the motion. As Voigt turned around to return to her starting point, Hendrix emerged from his hiding spot.“So when I turned around to face Carlos again, Jack Henry was standing there waiting for me. I was in complete shock when I saw him there,” Voigt says. “I thought for sure that Jack Henry was in Alabama celebrating the holiday weekend with his family. Hilariously, it was also Iron Bowl weekend so I thought for sure a proposal wouldn’t overlap with that.“She continues: “He grabbed my hands, told me how I have made him the happiest man on Earth, and that ever since he first met me he knew that he would be proposing to me. Then he got down on his knee and asked me to marry him! It was so sweet,” the bride-to-be says. “Because of how long we have been together, my family and his family already viewed all of us as one family. It was just so special to sort of make another big step forward toward making it really official!“The proposal comes almost seven months after Voigt announced that she would beresigning from her Miss USA 2023 titlefor mental health reasons. A lot of people think the more the merrier, but for this, I think we are on the opposite end of that spectrum.“For now, the two are enjoying their engagement and adjusting to calling each other “fiancé” and “fiancée.” But they hope to change that to “husband” and “wife” in 2025.“We know we want to tie the knot next year, so let the planning begin!” Voigt continues.
