The “Get Me Home” rapper previously defended Carter toTMZin 2013, telling the outlet that she had nothing but good things to say about him.
“Jay has only been wonderful to me and my family, a great friend throughout all the years I’ve known him and we had nothing but great success as a team,” she said.
She alleged that she was asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement upon arriving at the party, and was drugged upon being served a drink.
Shortly after the amended complaint was filed, Carter responded on Roc Nation’s X account, calling the allegations “heinous” and a “blackmail attempt.” He also labeled Doe’s attorney Tony Buzbee a “fraud” who hoped “the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.”
Carter’s attorney has reportedly filed paperwork requesting that a judge require Jane Doe to “reveal her identity if she wants to continue the lawsuit,” according to theAssociated Press.
Combs’ attorneys, meanwhile, have called the suit an “extortion attempt.” He is currently behind bars on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, with a trial scheduled for May 2025.
