Grace O’Malleyis ready to move forward.
The 26-year-old comedian spoke about her friendship breakup withBrianna “Chickenfry” LaPagliain her latest interview withBustleon Feb. 20 and said, “There’s a part of me that wants to talk about it [and] a part of me that doesn’t want to talk about it.”
“If I tried to keep talking about it, I’m going to put my foot in my mouth,” she continued. “I don’t know how to not tell the truth. It’s hard to find the right words, and I always want them to be the right words. That’s my biggest flaw.”
O’Malley — whose newest podcastDisgracefulalso premiered on Feb. 20 — opened up about first meeting LaPaglia, 25, at 10 years old and revealed that initially “they did not f— with each other.” The pair eventually became friends after a Fourth of July camping trip.
She later moved towns as a teenager, leaving behind LaPaglia and her other friends. However, the pair reconnected after LaPaglia encouraged O’Malley to move to New York. She joined Barstool Sports and thePlanBri Uncutpodcast as a co-host, all while she pursued her comedy dreams.
Things ended abruptly after LaPaglia “blindsided” O’Malley when she announced the end ofPlanBri Uncuton Instagram Stories on Dec. 4, 2024. In an interview on theBFFspodcast, LaPaglia recalled deciding to endPlanBriaround the same time her breakup from Zach Bryan was announced in October 2024.

Days after LaPaglia’s announcement, O’Malley confirmed she would beleaving Barstoolon Dec. 16, 2024, and said she was “grateful to everyone at the company and to Dave [Portnoy] for taking a chance on me.”
O’Malley first spoke about her friendship troubleswith LaPaglia on theThis Past Weekendpodcast with Theo Vonon Jan. 7, sharing how she believed that “we’re just going through a rough patch right now” and “we’re going to figure it out” one day.
“She’s doing her thing. I’m doing [mine],” she said. “And I still love her.”

O’Malley also opened up toBustleaboutCall Her DaddyhostAlex Cooperreaching out to her after she left Barstool and said “She texted me, ‘It’s Alex Cooper fromCall Her Daddy.' "
“I sent it to my sister. She’s like, ‘No, that’s not real, dude. Someone’s messing with you,’ ” she continued. “We had never met before, so it was really nice to hear from her [in that] tumultuous time. She just reached out, as a pal first. Then she asked me what my next steps were, and I wasn’t quite sure yet.”
She then decided to joinCooper’s Unwell Network— announced on Dec. 19 — after she “slept on it” and joked that “it’s funny to say I’m a diversity hire because I’m not blond.”
