The duo recreated theirfamous Academy Awards kissahead of the show, and Berry, 58, shared a video of the moment on herInstagramalongside a cheeky caption. “Surpriseee@adrienbrody!! I had to get some payback 😉🫶🏽,” she wrote.

The official Academy AwardInstagramaccount also shared the kiss in a video that showed Berry approachingThe Brutalistactor, 51, with her arms wide open. She then planted a big kiss on Brody before they shared a warm embrace.

The red carpet moment comes 22 years after Brody kissed an unsuspecting Berry at the 2003 Academy Awards. After he was announced the winner of Best Actor forThe Pianist, Brody kissed Berry, who presented the award.“I bet they didn’t tell you that was in the gift bag,” he joked during hisacceptance speechwhile looking at Berry, who wiped her lip and appeared caught off guard.The moment was laughed off at the time, but it has since been criticized.
