Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Are Doing 'Not Good' Almost 2 Months After Losing Home in L.A. Fires

Heidi Montag Pratt, 38, andSpencer Pratt, 41, aren’t sugar coating things when it comes to talking about their current living situation.

The couple, who’ve been married since 2008, are among thousands who were displaced or lost their homes in thedevastating Los Angeles wildfiresthat began in early January. Since then,The Hillsalums have been speaking candidly about their emotional and financial situation.

Asked how they’re doing now in a Feb. 22 interview withE! News, Spencer shared, “I’d say ‘not good’ is the honest answer. The last two days have been the hardest for some reason. I don’t know if Heidi was processing sooner than I was, and I was so focused on Heidi’s music success that I didn’t have time to think about our situation.”

Though the immense support the couple received shot the 15-year-old album to No. 1 on iTunes in January, Heidi remains distraught over losing their home and possessions, he shares.

“It’s still so fresh,” she confessed. “It seems kind of like old news to other people, but there’s a long road ahead and it’s gonna take years to get our life back. And hopefully we can.”

Despite dealing with their personal hardships from the fires, the couple has dedicated time to helping others who also suffered from the devastation. One of the initiatives they’ve adopted was hosting a Los Angeles fire relief workout class withTraining Mate, which Heidi said “keeps everything in perspective."

“It’s going to take so many people to really bring the Palisades community back and all the small businesses,” Spencer added.

Their community assistance has not gone unnoticed. The founder of Training Mate, Luke Milton, had nothing but kind words for the couple, stating, “Heidi and Spencer have been the absolute pioneers of generating some positive outcomes of such a tragic incident."

He added, “When the opportunity popped up through our group of mutual friends, we jumped at the chance. And anything we can do to help these guys in their endeavors to make the world a better place, we’re just all in.”

Other celebrities who’ve lost their Southern California homes due to the fires include Tyra Banks, Joshua Jackson, Billy Crystal, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Candy Spelling, Mel Gibson, Anthony Hopkins, Milo Ventimiglia, and Paris Hilton.
