Josh Hallis nowhere to be seen in new promotional photos forThe Flip Off.

Instead, the photos show Christina solo opposite her competitors on the show: her first husband and formerFlip or Flopco-starTarek El Moussa, and Tarek’s new wifeHeather El Moussa. The distinctive setting and the trio’s outfits indicate the new image was created from the same set of photos.

That question now appears to be answered.

A press release from the network shared with PEOPLE on Wednesday teases Josh’s exit from the series.

“We had a blow up… middle fingers in my face,” Christina tells Tarek of her final straw with Josh. “Things with Josh have been bad for a long time.”

She also reveals to her first husband that their kids — Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9 — had a role in the end of her relationship with the formerly Austin-based real estate professional, whom she wed in secret courthouse ceremony in Oct. 2021.

“The kids literally asked me to leave. They told me he’s not nice to me. Why would I stick around?” Christina says. “I feel like I’m in a tornado all the time and I just can’t get out of it.”

While the exes haveworked toward becoming amicable coparentsin the years since their divorce, and evencontinued to filmFlip or Floptogether for several seasonsafter they split, the heavy scene is a departure from the playful way theyoften danced around their differenceson screen.

In addition to, bringing together Christina, Tarek and Heather,The Flip Offwill also feature several more familiar faces.

The network confirmed on Thursday that Christina’s second husband, Ant Anstead, will be appearing as a guest judge, after he wasspotted filming with Christina last month. Other guest judges will include Heather’s formerSelling Sunsetco-star Amanza Smith,Real Housewives of Orange County’sHeather Dubrow, and Tarek and Christina’s moms.
