For Rae, she feels that this Super Bowl commercial is the perfect way to highlight TurboTax and its services because she’s “someone who procrastinates and always makes things harder on myself,” so she knows the tax filing struggle all too well.

“This is really just showing you the ways in which we as people, can do that, and how we don’t have to,” she shares. “One of the things that I really loved about shooting this was just specifically identifying myself in these commercials. I don’t have to overthink things, I don’t have to push things off. I can ask for help and I’ll receive it and then get it over with. And then move on with my life to the fun parts.”

Getting to see her TurboTax ad on the small screen is just one of the things Rae has to look forward to when Super Bowl LIX kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 9.

“I got to go to the Super Bowl last year in Vegas, and that was so much fun, and Usher performed. This year, I’m going to find somebody’s couch,” she says, adding, “I just want to watch a good game!”
