“I’ve never waxed this before. Let’s do this,” he says before pulling up his pant legs to show off his bushy calf, which garnered a shocked reaction from audience members. “OK, calm down,” he joked.

“This is what I’m talking about,” said a delighted Barrymore, 50. “This is some good hair here. I’m not a professional; that’s probably not what you want to hear right now,” she joked.

As Barrymore began applying the hot wax, he said, “So far this is relaxing,” before adding, “You’re all laughing like you know exactly how this is gonna go,” as viewers laughed.

“I wasn’t in town, so I wanted to surprise her with something. I didn’t realize you can just hire a mariachi band to show up somewhere, and so they showed up to my apartment,” he began before Barrymore ripped the paper off, leaving him yelling from pain and biting his hand.

Barrymore only gave him seconds to recover before ripping off the second strip. A large section of his lower leg was left bare after. “Look at this patch. That is smooth. Not to generalize, but women do this a lot. You guys are heroes. That was a lot.”

Becoming celebrities’ personal beauty assistants is somewhat of a shtick for the50 First Datesactress who, in February 2023, also played the role of barber when she had actor Tyler Posey on as a guest.
