Jada Pinkett Smith Finds 'Magic in the Mundane' While Enjoying a Bath at Friend's House: 'The Simple Joys'

Jada Pinkett Smithis relaxing into life’s simple pleasures.

The star, 53, shared on Instagram Sunday, Dec. 1 that she was taking time to appreciate the small things, sharing a photo of herself looking out a window while in a bathtub.

“Lately I’ve been obsessed with ‘finding magic in the mundane.’ Discovering the simple joys that drop me into present time that enhances connection with myself and others,” shewrote, adding, “Like watching the Hawks fly outside my girlfriend’s bathroom window while sitting in her tub after indulging in a mud mask she put on my face that made my skin so happyyyy.”

Smith’s post came with a video of herself showing off the “delicious” May Lindstrom honey mud mask product her friend recommended for her. She called it “pricey” but “worth it.”

She then explains in the video, “The reason why I’m sharing this with you is because I have a project, a new project this year. And, no, it’s not a skincare line. But, when I introduce the project to you you will understand why I am going to start sharing with you my obsessions.”

On Thanksgiving, Nov. 28, Smithshared a videoof herself basking in the sun alone, writing simply “Grateful” in the caption. In the clip, she tells the camera, “Happy day of thanks and gratitude. I’m sending you all so much love.”

Smith previously teased an upcoming announcement of sorts. In a Sept. 1 Instagrampost, she wrote that her “heart has been blooming in so many ways” over the summer, adding: “Can’t wait to share. Till then … I’m just embracing the last of the summer vibez.”

She added at the time, “Uncoupling consciously is a very difficult thing, right? … I had a lot of things I had to resolve so it wasn’t a war in public. I didn’t want that, like, for Will and I. And so I really needed time to get myself together.”
