WhileJamie Lee Curtisloves a live music experience, she prefers going to bed early.
In the latest episode ofJenna Bush Hager’s podcastOpen Book, theFreaky Fridayactress (who’s previously expressed desire for more matinee concerts) opened up about who she’d love to see perform live — if the show is early enough.
“Chappell Roan,” Curtis, 66, said in a clip posted toInstagram. “I want to be ‘Hot to Go’ too — but I want to be ‘Hot to Go’ to bed.”
“I am ‘Hot to Go’ to bed,” she added. “And therefore you need to play ‘Hot to Go’ so that at 4:30 p.m., we’re all going ‘H-O-T-T-O-G-O,’ and then I’m going home.”
Intwo separate interviewsin March 2023, Curtis wondered why artists don’t perform concerts during the day rather than at night.
“I am gonna just say this now as a taunt and as a suggestion.U2, do a matinee.Coldplay, do a matinee. What about a 12 noon concert, Coldplay? What about it?” asked Curtis, while speaking toThe Hollywood Reporter.

Then, during an appearance onToday, she challenged musicians to hold shows “during the day.”
“Why are there no matinees?” the Oscar winner asked. “For instance, I love Coldplay. I would love to go see Coldplay. The problem is, I’m not gonna go see Coldplay if they start their show at nine o’clock and there’s an opening act. I want to hear Coldplay at 1 p.m. I think if we filled a stadium with people who want to see matinee of Coldplay, I think we would start a trend.”
Elsewhere in the interview withThe Hollywood Reporter, she revealed she turned down the Oscar nominees' dinner for a similar reason.
“Now you might say, ‘Jamie, you’re nominated for an Academy Award, you’re going to be in the room with only nominees for the Academy Award, and I have declined.’ Why? Because Mommy goes to bed early,” explained Curtis.
OnOpen Book, Curtis also discussed her new show,The Sticky, her upcoming filmThe Last Showgirl, her 40 years of marriage, her path to sobriety and what it was like growing up with famous parents.
