Tanya may not be in season 3 physically, but her character is very much present. Greg (or rather, Gary) is one of the guests staying at the White Lotus hotel in Thailand. Season 1’s Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) who works at the White Lotus Maui, is visiting the hotel to learn techniques from their spa staff, and notices Greg in an earlier episode.
It takes her until episode 3 to figure out how she knows him. While eating dinner with her Thai wellness counterpart, Pornchai (Dom Hetrakul), Belinda tells him that she was supposed to open her own spa with Tanya’s financial assistance.

“Of course, she flakes. Runs off with some guy she just met,” Belinda says of Tanya as a light bulb goes off when she realizes the man she saw at dinner [Greg] is the man Tayna ran off with.
She goes up to his table at dinner to say hello, while he’s eating with his girlfriend Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Rick (Walter Goggins) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) but he insists they’ve never met.
“Greg, isn’t it?” she asks. “It’s Gary,” he replies.
She presses, “Did you date a woman named Tanya McQuoid?”
When he says no, Belinda replies: “You must have a doppelganger then because I swear you look just like this man I met in Maui.”
The episode ends as she and Greg (er, Gary) stare at one another from across the restaurant.
“All they found was a part of her leg,” she adds.

While fans wait to see what unfolds with Greg, Coolidge weighed in during a new interview withForbes.
“As you know, Jon Gries has shown up,” Coolidge said of season 3. “I hope he gets it! I hope they do something terrible to him.”
She said of the new installment, “It’s really eerie — you’re not quite sure what people are up to yet. My guess? Something’s going to go horribly wrong. I think it’s really going to go wrong. [Creator]Mike White, he wants us to have it all, I think. I can’t wait.”
