A source close to theUnstoppableactress tells PEOPLE that all of her upcoming media appearances that were scheduled for next week have been canceled.
“It’s important to her to focus on supporting the community of Los Angeles during this very difficult time,” the insider says.
Lopez, 55, was scheduled to appear on several shows in New York City, including theTodayshow,The View,Live with Kelly and MarkandThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The news comes three days after the Los Angeles premiere of Lopez’s new movieUnstoppablewas canceled due to fire and wind activity in the city.
The event at the DGA Theater was canceled “in light of today’s safety concerns around heightened wind activity and fire outbreaks in Los Angeles," a rep for the movie’s distributor, Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement to PEOPLE on Tuesday, Dec. 7.
“As much as we were looking forward to celebrating this wonderful and inspiring film with you, safety is our first priority," the statement continued. “Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe.”
Tuesday’s TCL Chinese Theatre premiere of Universal Pictures' horror movieWolf Man, starringChristopher AbbottandJulia Garner, was also among the events canceled, as well as the premiere of thePamela Anderson-led dramaThe Last Showgirl.

The blazes have spread quickly in different parts of the city, including the Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Altadena and the Hollywood Hills. Information is still evolvingabout the scale of the destructionand when the fires will start to be contained.
As of Thursday, there have been at least 10 fire-related deaths in the L.A. area, the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner said.
PerCNN, authorities have “received notification” for these deaths. The medical examiner did not release the names of those who have died since “all cases are pending identification and legal next of kin notification.”
