John Mulaney’sson Malcolm is processing the fact that he’s now a big brother.
“So he, at first, like — it was like when any new person comes into an organization, like when someone starts at work. He and I would sometimes break off to talk about her," Mulaney jokes.
“We were walking down the street once, and he looks up at me and goes, ‘Meimei is so weird.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, Meimei is really weird,' " he continues. “And then, sometimes, when she squeaks or does something, I’ll pull him aside. I go, ‘Come here.’ I go, ‘Did you see what Meimei did?’ And he’ll go, ‘She is so weird.’”

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at the GQ Man of the Year party in November, the actor shared his sonMalcolm’s first thoughtson becoming a big brother.
“He’s doing good. He likes it. It’s interesting, with our daughter, she’s 2 months old so she doesn’t do much,” the comedian told PEOPLE about his family life with Munn.
“And I think the first couple of weeks he thought she might be a toy because she’d squeak and he’d be like, ‘How do I make it do that again?’ Now I think he gets it, that this is a little girl, yeah.”
Mulaney and Munn shared on Sept. 22 that they welcomed a daughter named Méi June via gestational surrogate on Saturday, Sept. 14.
Only a day after their happy news was shared onInstagram, asource close to the coupleexclusively told PEOPLE, “They are in total bliss with Méi andMalcolm.”
“After everything they have been through there’s no tighter, closer little family,” the insider added.
