The duo were there celebrating the release ofWish You Were Here —Stiles' latest project starringIsabelle Fuhrman,Mena Massoud,Jennifer GreyandKelsey Grammer. Their on-screen connection dates back nearly 26 years to their hit teen romcom featuringJoseph Gordon-Levitt,Gabrielle Unionand the lateHeath Ledger, which followed high school student Cameron (Gordon-Levitt) trying to find a love interest for Stiles' character of Kat while hoping to date her younger sister, Bianca.
Speaking with PEOPLE at the event, Stiles detailed how she keeps in touch with her former costars and revealed that she’d be meeting up with her on-screen sis that night.
“I know that Larisa Oleynik is gonna be here tonight, which will be wonderful to see her,” she said at the time. “We kind of, you know, the way that it’s hard to keep in touch with people but over text messages.”

At the time,Stiles also reflectedon her role in the romcom, which she revealed was the movie she’s most “recognized” for.
“And then I read10 Things I Hate About Youand Kat Stratford was like this feisty outspoken girl who did not care what people thought about her,” she added. “So it meant a lot to me to be in that movie and that it resonates with people still is so great.”
Wish You Were Here, which is based onRenée Carlino’s 2017 bestselling novel, is now in theaters.
