Katie Holmes Ditched Winter Boots in the Dead of Winter for Mary Jane Shoes and Playful Socks

Temperatures are literally freezing in New York City right now, but that didn’t stopKatie Holmesfrom breaking out the Mary Janes.

In many ways, theOur Townstar looked like a classic urban woman on her way to work in winter, double-fisting Starbucks in sunglasses and along wool coat. But Holmes, 46, switched things up at the ankles, skippingleather bootsand sneakers for a pair of white ballet flats worn over black ankle socks. The bold choice worked well with her cropped jeans, giving these reliable warm-weather staples a moment to shine in their offseason.
