Like mother, like daughter!
WhenKaty Perryembarks on herLifetimes Tourin April, she plans to bring along her 4-year-old daughterDaisy Dove, whom she shares with fiancéOrlando Bloom. Speaking with PEOPLE, the pop star says her daughter is much like her two “extrovert parents” — and she’s bringing that energy on the road.
The “Dark Horse” singer also says that her daughter is already exercising her musical abilities.

“She took her music class today, and I just got a photo of her minutes ago with a ukulele in her hand,” Perry says.
This tour — which is Perry’s first in seven years — is sure to be “super fun,” the pop star says.
But she has a different approach since she’s become a mother: “I’m excited to start my show at 8:30 because I now understand firsthand how long bedtime routine takes.”
Though Daisy will be joining Perry on the road, she still hasn’t exactly processed that her mom is a superstar. For now, Perry and Bloom, 48, are primarily focused on being good parents.
“She’s still trying to figure out what the days of the week means. I think she just loves when Mommy’s happy, and I think she really feels our love for her, and she feels safe and encouraged to do and be whatever she wants,” the “Firework” singer says. “And we’re trying to do our best as parents, most definitely.”
In addition to Perry’s U.S. dates — which kick off May 7 in Houston — the formerAmerican Idoljudge will travel to Mexico, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Denmark, the U.K., France, Germany and more for her Lifetimes Tour.
“It’s going to be exciting to bring her around the world and show her some unique cultural stuff and learn. It’s a whole education in and of itself,” she says of having Daisy in tow on tour. “I definitely was educated mostly because I got to see the world.”

Perry and Bloom welcomed Daisy in August 2020. In September 2021, she told PEOPLE that nothing could “prepare you forthat wave of unconditional love.”
“I never really truly knew about unconditional love,” she explained. “Obviously my mother has that for me, but I didn’t really experience it in the first-person until I had my child, and that was just a whole ‘nother level.”
Daisy made herfirst public appearanceat Perry’s final Las Vegas residency show in November 2023. The singer-songwriter gave her daughter a shout-out from the stage as the cameras panned to Daisy in the audience.
“Daisy! I love you so much,” Perry said at the time. “You’re my best friend. I’m so glad you’re here.”
Later during that show, the “Teenage Dream” singer added: “I created this show after the birth of my daughter, Daisy Dove. When I met her, it was like all the love I was ever searching for finally showed up. She made me whole, and she healed me, and she showed me how to play again. So this show is for everyone’s inner child and for the hope that maybe if we could all see life through the eyes of a child, we would be free.”
